PandaCoat
PandaCoat TopBase ST Fiber glass-fibre reinforced silicone waterproofing, grey, 1 kg
Chimney, joint or detail leaking again, and a thinner coating would run off?
PandaCoat TopBase ST Fiber is the glass-fibre reinforced version of TopBase ST for vertical surfaces and details: chimneys, gutters, joints and sloped areas. The glass fibre thickens the silicone to a non-sag, paste-like consistency, so the coating stays on vertical surfaces and does not slide down.
Why TopBase ST Fiber
Non-sag consistency for verticals and details
Glass fibre thickens the silicone – the coating stays on chimneys, upstands and joints without running, even when applied vertically.
Better crack bridging
The thicker consistency reliably seals small details and cracks where a thinner coating would be too weak.
Resistant to all weather
The cured membrane withstands UV, rain, snow and temperatures from -30 °C to +80 °C.
Easy to use – usually no primer
Apply with a brush or roller in 2–3 thin coats. Primer is usually not needed on ceramics and metal; on concrete Primer VL is recommended, on bitumen Primer VL 2K.
What it is
One-component, glass-fibre reinforced silicone coating – the same TopBase ST chemistry (silane-based), only thicker and non-sag. Cures with atmospheric moisture into a strong, elastic, watertight membrane. Used as a complement to TopBase ST for details or on its own for smaller/vertical areas.
Where to use
- Chimneys, gutters, roof joints and upstands
- Sloped and vertical surfaces where a thinner coating would run off
- Small cracks and damaged spots
- Camper and trailer roofs, farm buildings, terraces
- Concrete, metal, ceramic, wood and glass surfaces
- Extra reinforcement of flat roof details together with TopBase ST
Technical data
- Relative density: 1.265 g/cm³
- Dynamic viscosity: 1800–2200 cP
- Flash point: 67 °C
- Service temperature: -30 °C to +80 °C
- CLP 1272/2008 classification: not hazardous (supplementary statements EUH066, EUH208)
Application
The substrate must be clean, dry and free of dust and grease (concrete moisture <5%). Primer is usually not needed on ceramics and metal; on concrete Primer VL is recommended, on bitumen Primer VL 2K. Reinforce joints beforehand with TopBase ST Paste.
Apply TopBase ST Fiber with a brush or roller in 2–3 thin coats, 3–48 h between coats depending on conditions. Skin forms in approx. 2 h.
Note: this is the TopBase ST version for details and verticals – use it alone for small areas or together with standard TopBase ST, not as a replacement for a whole roof.
